Ref.: Waterford Law Society – CPD Seminar (13 & 14th April 2018)

This seminar organized with Skillnet by Waterford Law Society. Cannot speak highly enough about Skillnet’s professionalism in handling all matters.

Sara Mullally, Jackie Ryan, Audrey and all the team were so co-operative, professional and hardworking. Their organisational skills were excellent. Their involvement made the entire event run so smoothly and to a professional standard.

The feedback from colleagues attending – and we secured large numbers on both days – was that the event was excellent. We were delighted that it was local.

This was an inaugural event for us at Waterford Law Society and I have no doubt that we will seek to make it an annual event. We would only be delighted if Skillnet’s excellent services could be availed of in the future.

A huge thank you to Sara and all at Skillnet for a job really well done!

RE: Waterford Chamber Skillnet

I’d like to reconfirm the importance of the relationship Integer (Lake Region Medical) has with the Waterford Chamber Skillnet.

Each year we work in partnership to identify Learning & Development Needs to suit our requirements. Key to this is the ability to deliver subsidised programmes onsite, and thus allows us to run further learning and development programmes. Being part of this Skillnet network also affords us the opportunity to send individuals on programmes locally, thus saving the organisation significant cost and fulfilling identified specific needs.

I find that Sarah and her team are professional, flexible, informative, supportive and willing to help where possible. We have been able to attend networking events locally, which once again reduces time away from the job and makes it easier to attend and facilitates our organisation learning from others.

I have maintained my relationship with the Waterford Chamber Skillnet for many years, whilst employed with other organisations. Their customer service and performance has been excellent, so much so I constantly sell the benefit of being part of the network to anyone from other organisations that I meet. I also encourage training providers who approach me to become part of the Skillnet partnership.

RE: The use of the Waterford Camber Skillnet as a training mechanism for Red Hat in Waterford

Red Hat in Waterford have successfully used the Waterford Chamber Skillnet program to recently train Associates on site. We have evaluated several training options fro our ScrumMaster training and certification needs. What set the Waterford Chamber Skillnet apart and ultimately why we opted to pursue our training needs through the Waterford Chamber Skillnet is as follows:

– Communication: Our emails and phone calls were promptly answered and a site visit organised with Sara from the Chamber Skillnet team. This gave us a wealth of information and all the up front pricing information.

– Transparency: We had no hidden costs when it came to the charges for our training. All prices were clearly labelled up front and this is something we struggled with while receiving quotes from other vendors.

– Value for money: Our training needs worked out at almost €100 per person after the Waterford Chamber Skillnet discount was applied. This was almost 50% cheaper than our next nearest quote and in some cases a 100% cheaper.

– Location or training: We could hold our training on site and did not need to travel. This is a huge cost saver and a differentiation for dealing with a training organisation in our opinion.

We have already engaged with the Waterford Chamber Skillnet for our 2018 training plans and already have quotes and course content available to us. We are really enjoying the proactive nature of the relationship and it is helping to cover key skills gaps for our staff here in Waterford. I would highly recommend the service and professionalism service and it will be a cornerstone of how we satisfy our training needs for the coming years.
