About this programme

This course is designed to give learners a fast-track introduction to the skills that are required to work effectively while managing projects of all sizes. The course is very practical and interactive. All the core Project Management skills are covered including planning, managing and closing projects; risk management; resource and scope planning; quality control; leadership techniques.

Module 1: Project Management Principles – (Project Environment, Project Management Systems, Project Management Methodologies)
Module 2: Project Planning – (Project Initiation Document, The Project Plan, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Resource and Budget Planning, Change Control)
Module 3: Quality and Risk Management – (Identifying, analyzing and clarifying risk, Contingency Planning, Quality Management Tools, Quality Planning)
Module 4: Managing Staff and Other Resources – (Defining the competencies needed, Motivating and managing the project team, Appraising the team’s performance, Managing suppliers)
Module 5: Project Administration – (Communications, Cost/Schedule/Quality Control, Closing the project)

This course is suitable for anyone who works in, or has an interest in, project management and would like to gain practical project management skills. The skills learned during this course are relevant and applicable in any sector.

  • Day 1 – 9th October – 9.00 am – 3.30 pm

  • Day 2 – 16th October – 9.00 am – 3.30 pm

  • Day 3 – 23rd October – 9.00 am – 3.30 pm
