ESF+ QQI6 Supervisory Skills
This programme will equip learners with the core knowledge, skills and competencies to supervise and lead teams effectively. Learners will develop the capacity to apply emotional intelligence in their supervisory practice, harnessing the expertise and energy of their teams to foster motivated, self-regulating and high-performing individuals, in line with recognised best practice in people management.
Objectives
On successful completion of this programme a learner will be able to:
- Evaluate the role and responsibilities of a proactive supervisor, demonstrate effective communication, delegation, facilitation, and training skills,
- Apply situational leadership to build and sustain self-sufficient, motivated teams and individuals,
- Design, implement and monitor operational work plans that align with organisational objectives and reflect relevant best practice,
- Employ supervisory and management skills, including; facilitation, performance conversations, delegation, meetings, time management, training needs analysis, feedback,
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills to strengthen emotional intelligence,
- Analyse and apply organisational policies, employment legislation, and quality standards relevant to the supervisory role, including codes of practice and performance management procedures
