Funding Expression of Interest Portal for Certificate in Waste Management with Portobello Institute

- The delivery of this programme is subject to demand.
- Cost per person is €480pp (please note the full fee without Waterford Chamber Skillnet funding is €695pp).
- Eligible applicants will be invoiced €480pp once space is approved.
The Certificate in Waste Management is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of contemporary waste management practices, sustainability principles, and the environmental, operational and regulatory considerations that influence organisations across public, private and community sectors. The programme is delivered fully online through interactive webinars, providing a flexible and engaging learning experience that enables participants to balance study with professional and personal commitments.
The programme combines current industry knowledge with practical application, ensuring students develop the skills and understanding required to contribute to effective waste management strategies and sustainable organisational practices. Teaching is delivered by an experienced subject matter expert using a variety of learning methods, including live online sessions, case studies, group discussions, practical examples and guided independent learning.

Important Information about this Programme;
- This portal is to express interest in Waterford Chamber Skillnet Part-funding towards this course.
- Funded spaces are limited, and will be awarded in order of application on a first come first serve basis to eligible businesses/Employed Trainees (please see https://waterfordskillnet.ie/faq/ for funding information).
- Once your space has been confirmed and you meet Waterford Chamber Skillnet eligibility criteria, your company will be directly invoiced for payment to secure your space.

- Private sector or commercial semi-state enterprises only.
The following organisations are not eligible:
- Public sector organisations,
- Charity or Not-for-Profit Organisations, and
- Companies based outside the Republic of Ireland
