Course Overview:
This interactive half day in person workshop is aimed at small to medium sized businesses and introduces participants to the core principles of Lean Thinking and how they apply in real-world business environments. Designed specifically for micro to medium-sized enterprises, the session focuses on identifying inefficiencies, addressing practical challenges, and improving day-to-day operations. Through facilitated discussion, business owners and managers will explore how Lean can support structured problem solving and continuous improvement. Delivered in interactive format, the session encourages participants to bring their own business issues for collaborative analysis and practical learning.
Facilitator:
Richie Dawson is a passionate advocate for transformative change and a committed leader in operational excellence. Guided by a strong ‘people first’ philosophy, he brings a unique blend of strategic insight and hands-on experience to every engagement. While Richie has extensive experience working with large organisations, he is especially dedicated to supporting Micro Enterprises and SMEs, helping them build sustainable capabilities through Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Digital Transformation.
As Director of Operations at LI4, Richie works with organisations of all sizes to deliver practical, tailored solutions that integrate Lean and Industry 4.0 methods and technologies. He holds a Master of Business in Lean Enterprise Excellence, along with Lean Black Belt and Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certifications, with a focus on service and productivity improvement.
His cross-sector experience spans business development, workforce management, quality assurance, and training. Richie is also adept at developing strategic partnerships and designing competency-based improvement programmes that enable organisations to embed change and achieve long-term value.
