Microcredential - Sustainability: An Explainer for Operational Staff

Description of the Learning Process
Students will engage with online and offline learning resources, participate in group discussion and independent reading & current research.
All the modules are 8 hours of self-directed learning, 8 hours of live teaching and a practice based assessment that will form part of the candidates work.

- Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)
- Duration: 8 hours (one full day)
- Credits: 2 ECTS – Microcredential from South East Technical University (SETU)
- Encompasses lectures, complementary reading and video materials, and independent self-directed learning (8 Hours per module).
- Online assessment and learner
The 2 ECTS microcredentials are pitched at a level 6 from the national qualifications framework. Learners who participate in the microcredentials will have the knowledge to complete their newly appointed Job role.
Programme Overview
Sustainability: an explainer for operational staff (Microcredential)
Within this module the learner will gain an understanding of the importance of sustainability and the role it will play going forward to their job role. The benefits of establishing clear sustainability goals for the future are shared and discussed with learners having an opportunity to review the sustainability measures within their own companies. Areas covered within the course are UN SDGS, European green deal and legislation that governs the areas of sustainability. The learners are assessed through presentation and report.
